Talking 2 Toddlers

A Review on Talking to Toddlers

Parents these days are very different from parents a few years ago. Back in the 1980's, parents act according to how their parents were with them. If their parents yelled at them when they were kids, then that's also how they will act towards their kids.
The modern parents are a lot smarter. We don't just follow our mom and dad and how they were as parents, but we find ways on how to raise our kids the right way. The "right way" meaning without spanking or yelling but by understanding how our kids think and act according to that.
One way to be a better parent is by learning. There are a lot of parenting materials out there, but one that we'd like to do a review on is Talking to Toddlers by Chris Thompson.
Talking to Toddlers is an audio course which could be downloaded through an MP3 or shipped to you through CD format. It's priced at around $37, which is a small price to pay compared to what you'll get out of it.
There are a couple of things that we love about it, but one that we really love is the fact that it deals with communication. Kids act out of emotions, and that's where we lose them. As adults, we act by logic; and that's just very different from kids.
Kids laugh when they're happy, but they also cry when they're frustrated. Sometimes, they throw tantrums in public and as adults we think "that's not the right thing to do". This is very different from what your child thinks which is "I'm frustrated and I'm gonna cry".
Talking to Toddlers will teach you how to better understand your child, which is the first step in communicating with them. Once your child knows that you understand them, it will open up a door for better communication between parent and child.
Talking to Toddlers is a winner, but it's not perfect. If there's one thing that we don't like about it, it's that there seems to be a lot of information to take. It's not like other parenting materials which you could finish and absorb in one go.
With Talking to Toddlers, you need to really listen to what Chris Thompson is saying. Every bit of information is essential, and you wouldn't want to miss any of it.
Talking to Toddlers does not just focus on one single problem. It focuses on child-parent communication, which is something that a lot of parents overlook. If you want your children to behave like they should, then this audio course is a must-have.
